Today was a strange day.

I had 4 grade 8 classes today and I started the same way for each of them... Some of the groups took to it well .. some were very upset that i had effectively taken their work apart, however at the same time some of the groups are beginning to manufacture their buildings and it was really good to see them getting into working so hard. Though my start of lesson peptalk might have had a motivating effect.

There hasn't been any great changes on the Ecquador and Venezuela situation though there was supposed to be a security council of Latin American states meeting today to discuss the situation. Tomorrows news might tell us more.

The school have been trying to get a replacement for me sadly their efforts seem to be struggling, they have left it so long that most teachers have already taken posts or have removed themselves from overseas interest. I feel sorry for the school and for Diana as with all the things that have happened this year with the junta and the changes I seriously doubt they will find a teacher suitable in the time scale they have left. But for the sake of the kids I hope they do find someone.

Meanwhile tomorrow is the last day of manufacture on the tangram project for 3 grade 6 classes meaning the next task will be seeing if they work and then their evaluation. Then it should be Easter and a new project as soon as we come back that will be driven page by page with short time scales to make sure I can fit in the 2 projects I have left. Suddenly it feels like the year is nearly over 4 months left but 2 weeks of that I will be off school for easter break. so by the time i am back at school I am literally working the days down. Though I will have to write a new exam for the end of May beginning of June.

Friday this week we have a visit by the MYP team it should be interesting to see what they say though I can't say I am getting to excited by the idea.
