Freak weather.

Bogota has had some weird weather over the last few days. From talking to my Colombian friends its not unheard of but is unusual.

While I was away sunning myself in Villa de Leyva the centre of Bogota was brought to a halt by this...










Yes the land of almost non stop spring type weather (apart from the torrential rain) was brought to a standstill by SLEET and HAIL STONES!!! They had to lift people out of cars it came down so quickly.

Then a few days later the same area gets hit by the equivalent of a twister/tornado BUT it only hits one area, and almost flattens a car show room while leaving all the surrounding houses untouched.

So with the torrential rain, beautiful warm mornings and freak extreme weather its just like being in Scotland (without the warm mornings of course).
