Coming to the End of the BOX Project.

All classes are now coming to the end of the Box Project and I have the displays up for most classes. Over all its been good fun and the kids seemed to enjoy it.
Below are some examples of their work and also at the bottom some comments from the first few evaluations I have had come in.

Evaluation comments.
1. I enjoyed the task, because I like all sorts of things that are about designing and constucting.
2. This task was very impressive for me because I could bring to life all those ideas I had in my mind.
3. I enjoyed the task because it was interesting to make and we got to learn about good design.
4. I enjoyed this Project because you have to use your creativity, and fabricate what you come up with. I liked this task because I had never made a box before and if given another opportunity to do it again I would do it happily.

These are only the first four evaluations I have had in and I have only highlighted here the areas relating to did you enjoy the task. Needless to say the rest of the evaluations information are very helpful, and it is nice to think I am actually getting the kids to start thinking.

Finally I mentioned in an earlier post about the kid who made a box with a magnetic catch - he commented that it took him 3 attempts to get the catch bit right, and he had to replan to fix it. This boy has all the abilities to be good in Design & Technology and I will watch his projects with interest over the coming months. Here is an image of his final box.
