Today I woke to rain and rain and rain which kind of ruined my plans on what to do. I also lost access to the Internet, this happens fairly often but usually late at night today I woke to no Internet so instead of surfing, I did a lot of work on the Technology Handbook. Around 1130 the rain had stopped or at least become just and odd drizzle so I slipped on my coat and went for a walk. The rain stayed off and I wandered round for my Exito fix then made my way back. All in a quiet and reasonably dry walk. By the time I got back around 1230 the Internet was back up and running.
I have to admit that the difference by adding an extra 512mb of memory has made Del the laptop a completely new machine. Once I have the extra 1gb of RAM installed next weekend I should have a machine that is actually very usable. I would not believe the difference from a machine that had to run at the lowest possible visual and effect base to one now that I can run with everything turned on to the maximum.
I would still love a new laptop but for now the memory addition may actually save me a fortune and much as I hate to say it I am actually growing to like VISTA !!! and on that comment I will say adios... till tomorrow.
