Relief... I have not gone MAD

Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 04:15:01 PM at epicenter
Time of Earthquake in other Time Zones
Location 6.754°N, 72.907°W

Region NORTHERN COLOMBIA
Distances 50 km (30 miles) SSE of Bucaramanga, Colombia
110 km (70 miles) ESE of Barrancabermeja, Colombia

270 km (170 miles) NNE of BOGOTA, Colombia

So it took 6 minutes to travel 170 miles thats kind of fast when you consider it had to get through the Andes. The main thing is I now feel much happier that I was not drunk and I didn´t imagine it... But to feel it 170 miles away when you consider it was almost 100 miles deep at its epicentre is maybe a little disconcerting. On the map you can see Bogota in the centre of the country and if you look directly above that you will see Bucaramanga the closest area to the epicentre.
