Today at school was uneventful just your every day 4 period day. I didn't really mind as it allowed me to get organised for going to get my new glasses. i had arranged with Andy to walk down together so i could get tham after school.
Off we set...
After an hour and a half of walking up and down the streets and blocks we still hadn't found the opticians.
Now I did have the receipt and the address you would think going to the address on the receipt would be a good plan....NO it led me to a warehouse.
90 minutes of wandering up and down side streets in an area that is not the most gringo friendly is about all you can do... people begin to think your lost when they see you for the second time never mind the fifth or sixth.
Eventually I admitted defeat and Andy who had accompanied me on the search for what became as long literally as the search for the Holy Grail agreed and we headed for the flats and the safety of known territory.
On getting back to the flat I called Charlie and he quickly agreed to run me back tomorrow and for that I am so grateful. The thoughts of trying to refind it tomorrow was not exactly exciting me.
So no new glasses today further updates tomorrow... Now I am going to be unavalable for the next 5 hours ..Its going to be a long and a late night if I can stay awake as the Matrix trilogy is on TV... The Matrix is still my favourite movie of all time. Though the other parts of the trilogy were never as effective.
