Just a Quickie

Short sweet and simple - Its late and I have had a good, though busy day thankfully tomorrow is hopefully an easy one.

I had a cover last period again today a Grade 7 Maths class, the teacher had left a quiz for the kids but it was last period so when I had them settled I said ok guys... 45 minutes on this then we can relax and chill out for the last 15 minutes... My plan was to do something like 20 questions just to break up the afternoon before they went home. The kids got started they had 2 A4 pages covered in formula simplification and multiplication of fractions. At 15.15 I stopped them and said OK Guys have you had enough or do you want to keep working, and almost to a pupil they replied NO Sir we want to keep working. I stood there awe struck here was a class of 25 x 13 year olds who wanted to keep doing maths right up to the bell. I sat down and marked some more technology sheets. The kids here never fail to surprise me.
