I woke to a beautiful warm and sunny day !!! (Sorry Scotland). I went out and did some simple shopping ( I bought a wash basin for the kitchen sink - By the time I leave here the flat will be almost liveable). I then took my washing and some trousers in for repair the wee lady in the Laundry was over the moon to see me and we spent 2 minutes exchanging how to say happy new year in spanish and english !! After leaving there I did some food shopping. My fridge was at an all time low it had 2 eggs in it.. what can you do with 2 eggs ... and if anyone mentions that bloody TV advert in UK you can expect the 2 eggs being delivered when I return in June.
On returning to the flat I opened all the windows aired the flat and then moved all the furniture out of the main room and SPRING CLEANED, I know its not spring !! but IT did need cleaning...
I am also in the middle of marking and grading I have just marked 150 exams for grade 6 and on Tuesday I will have another 150 for grade 8 to mark as well as their course work ready to input at the end of the month. To say I am a little busy is an understatement.
The story of the head teacher goes on apparantly there is now a parents assembly on the 8th of Feb, the short parents meeting last week started at 5.00 and finished at MIDNIGHT !!! I chose not to go as I am not a parent !! but what a nightmare for those that did.
Anyways while I was out yesterday I took some photos of the local area just to try to give a flavour of the area I am living and walking about in. Hope they come out ok...
