Madrid Airport is a modern and well laid out airport with wifi access at a a cost £12 for 24 hours which I felt was reasonable to keep me amused through the night BUT I could not for the life of me find any wifi points with wall sockets so i could keep the laptop charged up that is until i discovered one wee coffee shop which has the ONLY power point anywhere in the airport and I FOUND it !!! Needless to say with a full night ahead of me before I can fly tomorrow this position is exceptional and if anyone comes near me I will kill to stay here. Having said that up to 1am the airport was busy .. now the airport is empty its like at 1am everyone got on planes and left maybe thats because its an airport though.
I can truly say spending a night here is not on my lets do this again lists. The only benefit to this is the position as its in a corner its secluded but not too secluded and its seat is bench style and soft. So if the worst comes to the worst I might actually get a couple of hours of semi comfortable napping around 3am ish once the management have stopped cleaning tables!!!
I do have about 5 newish films downloaded especially for this situation so expect to watch my way through some movie masterpieces (I watched Transformers coming out perhaps masterpiece is a bit OTT)
So for those curled up in their nice warm comfortable beds... I curse you all and hope you feel for me when you read this. Good job my flight tomorrow is 9 hours and I might get some sleep on the flight though not sure other passengers might enjoy my snoring.
PS is your really bored copy and paste the info below into Internet explorers address bar at the top, and when loaded look about 1/3 of the way down around 1215 for the BOGOTA Flight details... shows how bored I was managing to find it.
