Travelling through the country side of Colombia is breathtaking the variation in the land and scenery is visually stunning. I have also taken a few videos which I will add over the next few days to the relevant Off the Beaten Track area, so please check back.
It is times like this I wish I could speak more Spanish than I can. This country is a gem for tourists and has so much to offer so many people will never see. I have been incredibly fortunate to be able to come here and see some of the things available if only on a tiny scale.
I may have days like everyone else where I feel down and fed up, but days like this weekend make a huge difference and are memories that will always be with me.
Finally 2 more pictures... One is breakfast... each morning we went to a local "restaurant" to have breakfast (In UK this establishment would probably rate about 6 levels below a greasy spoon cafe !! But here in Colombia it is what you get. Breakfast consists of Scrambled egg, tomato and onion, with fresh baked rolls and a mug of hot chocolate for 90p and DAMN IT WAS GOOD !!!
