Its 3.08am I am getting a lift to the airport at 4.30am and my flight (The first step in the journey) leaves for London at 6.05. Bags are packed and I am about as ready as I can ever be. I do have concerns some I will discuss in a future entry , others are just those associated with a long journey into the somewhat unknown. I have been told I'll be met at el dorado airport (Yes its named after the legendary land of gold which was situated in a pre colombian area centred on dorado lake a few miles north of Bogota - This is your first history lesson : ). From there I will be taken to where ? Personally I hope its a hotel for a few nights, but have heard my "Pretty" flat is already available. Images of being met and taken to a pink walled shagpile carpetted flat with purple velour drapes are hard to get out of my mind. Photo's will follow at the earliest opportunity.
My time of arrival in Bogota will equate to 1am UK tomorrow night so I guess 40 winks (a small sleep in scottish slang) might happen on the London Miami flight (Hope I don't snore and drool as a friend in Australia mentioned earlier in the day. - Thanks Ed guaranteed now).
