July Update

6 Days and counting down.

Today July 24th I travelled to London to get the Work Visa from the Colombian Consulate. Having flown down from Scotland early in the morning (Far too early for me.. why are people in general so damn cheery at 6am !!!). As I approached the Consulate Building the queue seemed to be 3 or 4 people thick and queueing well outside the building and round a corner, things looked bad, until I found out the queue was for the Chinese Embassy and that the Colombian Consulate next door was empty of everyone.(why are so many people going to China?) 20 minutes later and £130 poorer I am the proud owner of an addition to my Passport allowing me to work in Colombia (For 15 days !!!). To get the 2 year visa I need to visit the DAS in Colombia to get issued with a Colombian ID Card - somehow I know this isn't going to be as easy as it sounds. But thats for when I get there, and time is getting short.
