TGIF

This has been a hard week with the 2 days of travelling followed by the teaching has really taken it out of me. The weekend could not have come at a better time I am really looking forward to resting and recovering, and if the weathers nice maybe getting in a walk to the Mall.

Unfortunately I also have a HUGE amount of marking to get through and a pile of ironing !!

The kids did not strike today but that might have had something to do with the fact that any pupil who did would lose 15% off their grade for their upcoming exams.

The school does feel leaderless the SMT are trying to keep things on track but without a head it feels like there is a gap at the top. I would have thought after the recent disasterous decision by the Junta on Teachers Holidays and the resulting decision by some teachers to leave, would have suggested a period of reconcilliation sadly the Intelligent Educated people that are the Junta chose to make matters worse and to throw the school into a further period of instability. Now not only do the teachers have to cope with their own feelings of anger and frustration but they also have to cope with pupils who are taking action.

Diana is off to Mexico so I expect I will be picking up some of her classes on Monday or Tuesday. I hope she enjoys her course while I slave away here.
