Its Exam day

Poor Kids !!

I am sitting at the moment invigilating over a Spanish Exam they are 20 minutes into the one and a half hour exam.

The organisation that went into this was non existant and if Diana hadnt arrived back this morning I wouldn't have had a clue what the hell was going on.

As it is all is peaceful now though I do have 4 hours of the day doing cover, but since it lets me work on my own projects it is at least an easy day. Keith has been kind in some respects for today as all my cover is in my own room and in 2 blocks not split up. Nice to see some of the organisation works.

With reference to yesterdays comments about schools I have another interview with IAA on Tuesday Morning, the down side is that suddenly out of nowhere there has been a lot of negativity with regard to this particular school on the TES website. I tend not to take too much notice of people that gripe and moan as you will get them everywhere and each job is pretty much what you as an individual make of it, if you put in the effort, I like to believe you gain the rewards, good lifestyle, acceptable salary, time to relax etc etc, The days of changing the world are in the past what I am looking for now is an enjoyable, well paid and satisfying position at a school where I can develop interesting and fun projects that allow the kids to learn something new. Technology is not usually a teaching role that is affected by Religion, Politics or Specific Teaching needs dictated by the Country you are in, as such I have no major concerns or fears about the role not being what I expect. One benefit of teaching MYP technology is that the materials and facilities we use are varied and in most cases can be adapted........ Oh God just had a flashback !! Clint Eastwood, Heartbreak Ridge, He plays a rough tough Marine Gunnery Sergeant (Gunny) and is teaching a basic group of recruts how to survive. One of the all time classic comments used in the film with a lasting effect pretty much along the lines of Arnies "I'll be Back" in Terminator is "You IMPROVISE, You ADAPT and You OVERCOME" (If this was a film you would of course have seen that last bit in a slightly out of focus black and white image floating in the middle of the screen as you read this) Which brings another interesting point why can't I do that !! This is the 21st century after all.
This is the best you get...sorry
