Today was a busy day, fairly fulfilling but at the same time I am not overly happy. We are using MDF mainly because its fairly cheap and easy to work, BUT we have very very limited extraction ... ie SOD ALL .. with 25 kids working on various machines the classroom looked like a dust filled room very quickly and with 3 classes in a row it was almost unbearable. I came home feeling like Sh** and it took a litre and a half of water before I felt better. This is a major concern now as I cannot justify working in that environment without some form of extraction even some sort of suction system.
That said I started the day feeling a bit weak as the school were providing free medicals to check colesterol etc.. so this morning first thing I had some blood taken. Now I've had blood taken before and it doesn't really cause me any concern the needle goes in and the blood comes out. The nurse today checked for the vein, prepared the needle, PLUNGED it into my arm and nothing which didnt surprise me too much as I could see where the vein was and it wasn't where she had stuck me, Now most nurses I have come across remove the needle and try again, but not this one, this nurse obviously trained at the School of Pain with a smile as she moved the head of the needle about INSIDE my arm till after a few moments of what felt like she was trying to do liposuction through a small needle, blood started to flow... I hope I am going to get good results because I sure as heck don't want to give her another go, I have a huge bruise already from this one.
The day couldn't really have got much worse apart from on getting home the wee doorman told me with a smile (I've noticed everything is done with a smile so you never know if its good or bad news till after you get told) that there was NO Water , it took till close to 3 hours before we had water again, and while all this was going on we had the biggest storm I have yet seen with Thunder and Lightening. (Diana was walking home in it... silly girl lol)
I have been living for the last 2 months using the net style curtains only in the living room but noticed in the small bedroom I don't use, there were curtains that would fit, so tonight I changed them over... What a difference the Living room now looks much more homely even feels a little warmer BUT !! the curtains came from a preschool boys bedroom by the look of the wall decoration - so at the moment I am sitting in the Living room typing this while looking at very pretty light blue curtains festooned with Teddy Bears and small hearts... Perhaps I might need to invest in some decent curtains very soon.
